Reading Style

If I had to describe my reading style, it would be that I am a mood reader. I love the freedom of being able to pick whatever book I feel like reading at that moment. I find that my mood dictates what type of book I reach for, whether it be a fantasy, a romance, or a mystery.

Whenever I’m feeling down, picking up a good book gives me a much-needed distraction and help lift my spirits. Reading allows me to escape into another world and forget my worries for a while, so I am definitely a mood reader!

My Favorite Book Tropes

Found Family

The found family book trope is a literary device used to tell stories of characters who, despite not being related by blood, form strong bonds of friendship and loyalty. It often portrays a group of characters that have been brought together by fate or circumstance, and have come to rely on each other for support, love, and guidance.

This popular book trope can often be found in fantasy and science fiction books, but can be found in other genres as well. Found family books can bring strong emotions of hope, friendship, and family to readers as they follow the journey of these characters. The characters often go through struggles and triumphs together, and it can be incredibly inspiring and uplifting to read about their connection.

Forced Proximity

Forced proximity is one of the most popular book tropes for book lovers because it provides an opportunity for characters to grow and develop in ways that are often unexpected and delightful. The idea of two strangers, or enemies, being forced to live or work together and eventually learning to get along and even love each other is a storyline that has been used in countless books, movies, and TV shows.

Forced proximity can also bring out hidden and often overlooked traits in characters, allowing them to discover more about themselves and the world around them. It can also be used to demonstrate how people from different backgrounds can learn to find common ground and form meaningful relationships, even when it seems unlikely. Forced proximity is a trope that has captivated readers for generations, and it shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

I started my book blog because I wanted to share my love of reading with others. I believe reading is one of the most important and powerful things you can do to improve your life. Through my book blog, I’m able to share my opinions on all the books I’ve read and recommend them to others.

I’m also excited to be able to connect with other readers outside of Goodreads, discuss books, and even discover new books I may not have known about otherwise. I’m so glad I decided to start this blog and join the reading community in a new and exciting way!
